The members of the Institute of Decontamination Sciences (IDSc) held their annual conference as usual in early December, but on this occasion at a new venue in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

The International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) held its annual conference April 27 – May 1, 2019 in Anaheim, California. A record-breaking total of 1,540 Central Service/Sterile Processing (CS/SP) professionals attended the five-day event. The conference theme was “A Fresh Perspective” and attendees were provided with information to enhance existing skills, develop new skills and network with the goal of developing a fresh perspective on the field of sterile processing.

Like every year at the end of autumn, the members of the Institute of Decontamination Sciences met for their annual
conference in Blackpool. This year, however, the event was special, because the IDSc celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Annual Conference of the Infection Prevention Society, Manchester, England, 18 – 20 September 2017 The British Infection Prevention Society held its jubilee conference in Manchester. The delegates were able to choose from a varied block of topics in accordance with their professional background and level of knowledge. For example, there were special sessions on domiciliary care and for dentistry personnel, and as always also talks aimed at those who were “New to Infection Prevention”.
